Baile das Luzes

A sensory immersion into the long-term projects of photographer Vincent Rosenblatt, a Parisian who has been based in Rio de Janeiro for more than 20 years. The film explores the worlds of Rio’s funk scene, the bate-bola carnival celebrations, and the sound-system parties of Belém do Pará, while also including a journey through Poland. In this polyphonic voyage, he unveils his visual obsessions and reveals a perpetual state of searching, in which life, image, and catharsis become intertwined.
