Maki Taichiro, better known by his ring name Taichi, is a Japanese professional wrestler who debuted in 2002 for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW). He is currently signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), having joined the promotion's roster full-time in 2009, where he made his G1 Climax debut in 2019 and is a three-time King of Pro-Wrestling Champion, four-time IWGP Tag Team Champion, two-time NEVER Openweight Champion, and two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. He has also held titles outside NJPW, including one reign as GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion in Pro Wrestling NOAH and one reign as CMLL World Trios Champion in Mexico. Among his accolades, Taichi was ranked No. 89 in the PWI 500 in 2019, while his partnership with Zack Sabre Jr. as Dangerous Tekkers earned a No. 3 ranking in the PWI Tag Team 50 and the Tokyo Sports Best Tag Team Award in 2021.
